"My eyes, they are full of wonder. I was born with eyes that have only seen the wonder in everything. Eyes that see lights in the trees, and magic in the air. This wonder is what I put into the world."
~ Santa Claus (Rise of the Guardians)

Last week I had surgery, it was my 15th surgery to treat Endometriosis. Everything went well and there was lots of cuddles, art, movies, and lots of reading during my time down. As we are entering the last week of school we are gearing up for Summer break. For me the hard part is trying to entertain the kids, but keeping things simple. I've always thought of myself as a fun mom, but I've also realized that I am a home-body. For me you don't have to go spend money and go places to have fun. I feel like sometimes we can enjoy ourselves more in the simplest of things.

The kids have been great as I have been trying to heal. They each have found ways to keep themselves busy and letting their imaginations run wild. Sometimes I remember the childhood I knew. Playing outside until dark, reading books until my eyes hurt, board games with lots of laughing, and entering and creating imaginary worlds. I felt a sense of wonder, I had dreams that had no limits. I try everyday for my kids to live a life of wonder.

"This world is but a canvas for our imagination."
~ Henry David Thoreau
