Saturday night I had the opportunity to go to the Women’s Conference with my oldest daughter. It is always so inspiring and brings a lot of peace into my life.  As I listened to the speakers I kept thinking wow these talks are perfect and usually I feel that certain things were meant just for me to hear. About halfway through the conference I looked over at my daughter and she had also been taking notes. I realized that the things that she had been writing was different than what I was taking away from the talks. It hit me then that these talks are meant for each of us in our own way. We can each feel something different and take it into our own lives.

As I listened I loved what Sister Bonnie H. Cordon said, “Heavenly Father is ready to give if we will but ask in faith.” Don’t we all need just a little more faith?

Each speaker had a little thing that they said that our Heavenly Father wanted me to hear. Listening to Sister Linda Burton talking about “Certain” Women really struck a cord with me. I think we all know “Certain” Women that really make a difference in our lives. I hope to someday be considered in the same category. Sister Carol F McConkie reminded us that “we are daughters of our Heavenly Father and each of us has a divine purpose.” I know at times I feel lost and I’m not sure what I am supposed to be doing, but I felt so strongly after listening that I do have a purpose. I am here on earth to accomplish certain things that my Heavenly Father wanted me to. I still don’t know what they are and if I am even close to accomplishing them, but I will have faith and keep on moving forward doing my best!

I love how President Eyring ended the night “promising us peace, but in the Lord’s way not the world’s.”
