Have you seen Relative Finder? It is fairly new and one of my favorite new Family History tools. You have to have an account with Family Search first. It takes you to log in to your Family Search account and then you are in family tree heaven. When you first open the page it will bring up all your "famous" ancestors and for what reason they are known. On the left you can look at all the categories and then you can click on a certain one for example Constitution Signer, Mayflower, Movie Stars, Famous Americans and so on.

It is very addicting and so fascinating to see who you are related to. I had always hear rumors that we were somehow related to  Pocahontas, but I figured it was just one of those things that gets passed down in all families. After I saw my relation to her was a direct line-she is my 11th great grandmother. I went on Ancestry.com and realized that I hadn't done that work yet and guess what I found it there as well. So it was confirmed.

A few other relatives that I am proud to have in my family tree are William Bradford, Lucille Ball, John Adams, John Hancock, Samuel Adams, Walt Disney, Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Charles Dickens, Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain), Elvis Presley, Amelia Earhart, L. Frank Baum, several U.S. Presidents, and several LDS Prophets. I think my two favorites are Pocahontas and Emily Dickenson. It is so much fun to find your relationship and then I start doing more research into their lives and even finding things in common with them.

Have you been to Relative Finder? Who is your favorite ancestor?
